Realmark property managers embrace technology
Realmark recently hosted its first Embrace event of 2023, with its property, asset, facilities, and strata managers attending virtually from across Western Australia.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn from a variety of industry experts, including Sue Arena from MRI Real Estate Software and Rafael Niesent, Co-Founder of Bricks & Agent, who highlighted the latest technological advancements in property management software and Artificial Intelligence and how they can be used to streamline operations and improve client experiences.

Also discussing the importance of embracing technology was Realmark Urban's associate director of property management and BDM Emma Thorpe, and residential property manager Danica Broun, who were brought in to share their stories from the front line of property management.

They shared with the team how technology has helped them to meet client and tenant expectations, as well as their own aspirations as managers.

"We are really passionate about embracing progressive technology that provides our team with more breathing room and enables us to enjoy our time together," Thorpe explained.

"In recent years, particularly during the pandemic, I think the focus for a lot of people has just been on surviving. This year we’re focusing on not just surviving, but on thriving."

Thorpe highlighted the cultural impact of adopting these technologies on the team, emphasising the importance of work-life balance and relationship building in the workplace.

"By adopting this technology, we are saving a significant amount of time, and we can use some of this time to establish relationships with each other and have fun at work, which ultimately enhances our client experience," she said.

According to Danica Broun, embracing advancements in technology has resulted in a more efficient and streamlined process for maintenance and repairs, benefiting all parties involved.

"By integrating AI technology into our daily operations, we've been able to improve the accuracy of our invoicing and accounting, saving us time and reducing errors," Broun said.

"Our automatic templates for tenant and owner communications have also increased efficiency and streamlined our workflows. Additionally, the maintenance integration has been incredible, allowing us to ensure a quicker turnaround time on maintenance and repairs."

The event not only provided a platform for Realmark’s industry professionals to discuss the latest trends and technologies in the industry but also showcased the importance of building strong relationships within the team, promoting work-life balance, and fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.

As Realmark continues to promote innovation and growth in the real estate industry, we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.
