Mt Hawthorn local Realmark agent Miles Garner will host his fifth annual Halloween “Starlight Spooktacular for Little Horrors” at Menzies Park to raise money for the Starlight Foundation.
Over the past four years, the family-friendly event has raised more than $20,000, including $10,000 from last year’s celebration alone, to help grant wishes and experiences to seriously ill children.
“Any child facing serious illness is heartbreaking to see,” Mr Garner said.
“Last year I was privileged to visit the Starlight Express Rooms with my wife and daughter,
and it really opened our eyes to the joy and relief these spaces bring to kids and their families. It reminded me exactly why I do this.”
“Raising funds for Starlight is incredibly rewarding, but when you’re at the event and you see the community come together: kids laughing, families smiling, everyone having fun; that’s what truly makes it special.”
For Miles, community connection is at the heart of what he does. More than just marketing, he said events like this bring him and his family genuine joy and satisfaction, allowing him to leverage his local connections to help others, bring people together, and celebrate the strong sense of community that defines Mt Hawthorn.
This year’s event is expected to be bigger than ever, with Halloween falling on a Friday, the perfect opportunity for families to come together, enjoy an afternoon of fun, and kick off the weekend with a community celebration. There is a range of local businesses that have supported Miles and the Spooktacular deepening the sense of local connection.
"The Spooktacular will feature bouncy castles, Inflatable courses, a DJ, and Food Trucks, along with raffle tickets for purchase — all proceeds going directly to the Starlight Foundation.
“Everyone’s welcome to come down and have a look around,” Mr Garner said.
Miles Garner’s Starlight Spooktacular for Little Horrors will run from 4PM–6PM on Friday, October 31, at Menzies Park.
